Iridium - Die Hochleistungs-Zündkerze von NGK
NGK Iridium-Zündkerzen stellen derzeit die qualitativ hochwertigste technische Lösung dar. Sie weisen eine Iridium-Legierung an der Mittelelektrode auf, die in einem speziellen Verfahren mit Hilfe eines Lasers angeschweißt wird. Das Edelmetall Iridium ist eines der härtesten Metalle der Welt. Sein Schmelzpunkt beträgt 2450 °C und ist daher besonders resistent gegen Funkenerosion. Durch den Einsatz dieses Metalls wird die Lebensdauer, im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Zündkerzen aus Nickel, im Durchschnitt verdoppelt. - Applikationen
